AI Resident @ Meta AI

About me

Hi! I’m Keren Fuentes, and I’m engineer based in New York City.

Currently, I’m teaching machine learning at Inspirit AI, and I’m actively looking for full-time research / ML engineering roles.

Previously, I did an AI residency at Meta AI, where I was advised by Adina Williams, Maximilian Nickel, and Levent Sagun. During my residency, I worked on two projects evaluating the robustness of language models with respect to the amplification of stereotypes.

I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn, I worked with Prof. Chris Callison Burch and Prof. João Sedoc on multimodal word translation for low-resource languages.

When I’m not tackling ML problems, I really enjoy staying active (tennis, climbing, pickleball, etc.), reading/writing, and performing improv.
